Routing and Switching Selection Criteria. Please respond to the following:
• Compare and contrast distance-vector and link state routing, and analyze the limitations that would prevent the usage of each.
Choose the method best suited for designing a new routing protocol for a LAN architecture. Justify your decision.

Protocols of the dynamic routing are divided by two groups: distance - vector protocols and link state routing protocols.

In distance - vector protocols distinguish Routing Information Protocol or RIP. RIP is the most simple protocol of the dynamic routing. In this protocol a router sends the list of addresses of accessible to him networks (vector). The account of transitions (hop) from network to network is produced through count of metric.
The maximal working value count of metric equal to 15. Parameter 16 interpreted as a "network is unattainable". The most optimal route has the least count as metric.
The basic lacks of protocol are an unoptimality of the found route at different communication channels and small number of hops.
- copies routing tables to neighbors
- Periodic route updates sent every 30 seconds to multicast address
- RIP v1/v2 use hop count as metric
- Views the network from the perspective of the neighbors
- Slow to converge
- Susceptible to routing loops
- Easy to configure administer
- Consumes a lot of bandwidth
Protocol of Routing Open Shortest Path First or OSPF behaves to the type of link state routing protocols. In this protocol all routers of network use a single database. A database describes, as well as what networks every router is related to. OSPF uses path cost as its basic routing metric. Basic routing metric allows taking into account the real carrying capacity using more effective routes.
- синхронизация базы данных связей через 1 выделенный маршрутизатор
- отсутствие ограничений на длину маршрута
- периодический обмен только короткими сообщениями о связях маршрутизатора
- при изменении связи уведомление посылается незамедлительно
- synchronization of base of these connections through a 1 distinguished router
- absence of limits on length of route
- periodic exchange only by short reports about connections of router
- at the change of connection notification is sent immediately
For new LAN architecture I choose RIPv.2, because this network is small that and routing will be used primitive. Simplicity of development and tuning will be my choice at the construction of this network.…...

The LTE or long term evolution network first inception happened on the Verizon Wireless network, starting in the year two-thousand and ten, on the tenth day of December. The official roll of the LTE network would cover more than “237.5 million people” across the network, this would be one of the largest upgrade done on a telecommunications network since the inception of the 3G network. (Facts about Verizon Wireless' fourth generation (4G) Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, 1st bullet point, new center, LTE information center.) The 4G LTE network rollout on the Verizon Wireless network would now offer “upload and download speeds of 10 mbps, according to CEO Lowell McAdam.” (January 8, 2013 5:08 PM, Author: Devindra Hardawar, CES 2013, 3RD paragraph.) The consumer these days either has a 4G mobile technological advanced device or is planning on buying one soon to be able to enjoy the blazing fast network LTE technological advanced networks. There are a lot of 4G devices that are backwards compatible with the 3G network cell towers. The similarities will continue to compare and contrast one another, the LTE technology will also be, backwards compatible with the LTE advanced network roll out as well. Meaning there would be no bearing on existing on existing routers or switches, when the roll out of LTE advanced, LTE will be backwards compatible according to Ericsson research that has been done. Week 5 Discussion Questions

...Week 5 Discussion questions Please respond to the following: * Provide at least two pros and cons for each of these scenarios. 1. A supermarket was interested in determining its image. It dropped a short questionnaire into the grocery bag of each customer before putting in the groceries. This strategy comes with its pros and cons that could be looked into pretty deep. The thing I found most interesting is the obvious element of only getting the opinions of people who already shop there. They are asking people who already see their store with a good image because they chose their store over the competitor. Their survey wouldn’t get real information because it would be more informative to go to other grocery stores and try to hand out surveys asking what they like about that store and what keeps them from going to your grocery store. 2. To assess the extent of its trade area, a shopping mall stationed interviewers in the parking lot every Monday and Friday evening. Interviewers walked up to persons after they had parked their cars and asked them for their zip codes. Pros, non verbal cues are noticed and are helpful in studying the purchase behavior of customers, and the interviewing environment is controlled by the researcher of the shopping mall. Cons, there is no incentive to the customer for completing the survey and they may not take the time to do so and, it might annoy customers that are carrying their purchases out to their car. 3. To assess the......

...Networking Security Fundamentals Week 1 Question 1 "Providing Security Over Data" Please respond to the following: The CIA Triad offers three security tenets that allow data owners the framework to secure data. Considering your place of employment or your home computing environment, discuss in detail the means in which each of the three tenets are addressed to mitigate risk and enhance security in your chosen environment. In my workplace, all three security tenets are strongly enforced. Our information systems are available 99.9% of the time. We have specialists on call to support all facets of the organization, so even an unplanned outage can be mitigated by flipping to a mirror, then correcting the issue in the production environment. The integrity of the information is protected by the user account controls implemented by the data administrators, who create views and profiles for each user. Additionally, network admins restrict access to the data servers themselves. The confidentiality is also protected by the user account controls. With these in place, only authorized users are able to access or modify data. The use of mobile devices to create or access data has gained worldwide appeal and has obtained critical mass. From the e-Activity, summarize the attack and describe how you would mitigate the threat.  Mobile devices are now more alluring to attackers due to the concentration of users on a small base of operating systems. For example, prior to the launch of......

...Week 5 Discussion "Shintoism and Zoroastrianism" Please respond to the following: It has been said that a person is Shinto in the same way that he is Japanese. Identify at least two factors which would explain the close relationship between Shintoism and Japanese nationalism.  Shinto is closely related of being Japanese, a very indigenous religion with the Japanese culture with a lot of influence of Buddhism and other imported religions. Based on Shinto legends which link Shinto to Nationalism, it was believed that the native Japanese people are descended from the “Kami”, the most ancient form of spirituality, were present at the founding of Japan. Because of these beliefs, that the imperial families were an unbroken line of descent from Amaterasu, and that the family is older than the people of Japan, and its survival depends on maintaining the relationship between the Emperor and his people, the emperor rule Japan because this is what their gods want to. Allegiance to the emperor is one of the factors of being a Shinto which led to being a nationalist. Another example of would be the Japanese national Flag, a red circle on a white background. Sec435 Week 5 Discussion 1 - Wireless Penetration

...Week 5 Discussion 1 "Wireless Penetration" Please respond to the following: Describe in detail the steps involved in cracking WEP encryption. Discuss the implications of relying on such a legacy protocol today and how essential it is for the IT industry to keep current with technology. Explain how to conduct a man-in-the-middle attack between a client (user’s computer) and their access point (AP). Discuss two trust issues which revolve around any type of wireless (i.e. Wi-Fi, WLAN, 3G, Bluetooth) communication. Wep is the basic security encryption mechanism. WEP is weakened by the use of a 24 bit initialization vector (IV) that is reused in a short period of time, thus rendering WEP vulnerable to attack by several readily available cracking tools. One of the challenges of wireless traffic analysis is the ability to inspect the contents of encrypted data frames. Now wireshark has the ability to decode many different network layer and higher protocols, encrypted traffic limits the ability to analyze packets and troubleshoot network problems. Wireshark offers some options to analyze WEP encrypted data. Wireshark offers some options to analyze WEP encrypted data. Week 1 Discussion

...Week 1 Discussion Yvonne English Counseling 6306 September 4, 2014 Dr. Gilea Week 1 Discussion Apprehensions or Challenges about Ethics and Law Ethics in counseling are put into place for the purpose of setting professional standards for appropriate behavior, defining professional expectations and preventing harm to clients. Counselors facilitate client growth and development in order to foster the interests and welfare of the client in promoting healthy relationships (AMA, 2014). The special circumstances of clients such as in mental health facilities often have questions concerning patient autonomy, freedom of choice and consent to treatment even more complex than they are in other contexts. Counselors must identify ethical issues they are likely to encounter and maintain policies that address them effectively. The high cost of care and prejudices against persons with mental illness also creates ethical problems. Two Foundational Definitions of Ethics Related to Counseling Justice and Beneficence are two foundational issues in counseling ethics and legal issues. Although these two are mandatory components of ethical functioning at any level, they must be self-evident for counselors and certainly essential and fundamental in practice (Herlihy & Corey, 2006). Herlihy & Corey (2006) define justice as “our commitment to fairness” (p. 9) that includes several issues involved within counseling practice such as the counselor personal ethics, fees structures and...

Week 5 Discussion

...1 - Discuss how having an established managerial structure aids / hinders and organization and why Having an established managerial structure is good because then there is authority and everyone kind of knows their place. We know who is responsible for making what decisions and so on. I think that it’s necessary to have a managerial structure to help prevent chaos, otherwise you might end up with a lot of people saying “you can’t tell me what to do.” I definitely think there are some disadvantages when it comes to having an established managerial structure as well. A lot of times, employees feel like they can’t make certain decisions or do certain things without their manager’s approval. There have been times at work that my boss is on PTO, but someone will email him needing an immediate approval for something in order to fix an issue that we are having with a client. A lot of times, the people then email me asking to approve in his absence, but I don’t actually have the authority to make the approval, so then I have to reach out to my boss who is supposed to be off work, and the client’s issue is further delayed. So I can see how having a managerial structure is both good and bad, but I do think it’s necessary, no matter what.

2 - Discuss how delegation / decentralization can be both an asset and a detriment to a manager

Delegation can be an asset because like our book states, it gives the manager more time for other decision making, monitoring, planning, etc.......

...Week 5 - Discussion What would you do if your best friend's daughter, Cindy, comes into the office where you work seeking birth control pills and advice? You know that her mother does not know that she is sexually active and is Catholic. Cindy is also 4 weeks pregnant and seeking advice about an abortion; she is 17-years old. I think that if i would be the one that is dealing with her, I would have to treat her as i would treat any other patient. I would tell her about the risks and outcome of having a abortion and the use of using birth control phyiscally and mentally. I know as a medical assistant that i would not be allowed to tell her what to do just inform her of the birth control and the advantages and disadvantages. As for the abortion topic i could give her information to read about it so she can think about all the pros and cons then decide based on that. You can not tell her what to do but just give her knowledge of using birth control and consequences if you don't protect yourself. Also you can tell her to learn more about abortion before making such a big decision. I would have to watch what i say to her friend because of the hippa laws and risk a lawsuit. What role does Roe v. Wade play in your assessment of the legal and ethical factors of this situation? Roe v. Wade did not legalize abortion. Before Roe, abortion on demand was already legal in several states, while it was available under restricted circumstances in many others, and all...

Response: Let start from what Sodexo's Global Chief Diversity Officer Rohini Anand said. "there is now more of an expectation for managers to give clear and regular feedback, so there is no room to misinterpret why an employee did not get a promotion or raise. "[Employees] should not be mystified. They should be given feedback. They should be told what they need to do, because when that's not given, I think it creates a disconnect," she says. Consider performance management as regular practice that was incorporated in Sodexo makes clear that no mystery would remain for an employee who did not get promotion. Performance evaluation, appraisals, 360 degree evaluations and many other evaluation methods should be incorporated to make employee performance and value contribution......
