...Come along with me on an exciting time traveling journey, on our trip we will go to many far away periods, including the Italian Renaissance, the Early 20th Century and the Indian Civilization. Time travel can be dis-orienting. This is also what it is like to appreciate works of art from different periods. As your tour guide back into time I have prepared this book to prepare you for the tour. The first three chapters of this book, prepares travelers for their journey and will help them remain oriented. The information provided in the first three chapters provide a frame of reference that can reduce the dis-orienting effect of visiting later periods of art history and cultures one may be unfamiliar with. We will ask;" how is the work of art we are observing "attained". Getting a proper orientation of architecture or a visual art is similar to taking a tour of a college campus. When you approach a college campus for the first time there are various buildings on the campus. You will have your first impressions as you approach the campus from a distance and more impressions as you get closer- which changes your perspective. Once one has visited several college campuses one learns how to orient themself. You can quickly find the administration building, library, dorms, etc. To keep one from getting lost in the world of Art developing a frame of reference can reduce culture shock and time disorientation. This book examines three periods and three different types of Art that will......

Time Travel

...Time Travel Have you ever thought about how vast the universe is and how little we know about it's secrets?About how insignificant the earth, which is infinite times smaller than the universe,is but yet is so essential that we would not be here without it?About what lies beyond this ever expanding universe? One thing we must remember is that everything in the universe obeys the same rules or laws;Be it on earth or anywhere else in space. This helps us put certain limitations which helps us predict the way the universe works. We know for one thing that every single thing in the universe is attracted towards every other thing, however insignificant may be its value.Using these universal laws many hypotheses have been created.Like for example, time travel is now possible(in theory) but only in the froward direction as it is impossible to undo what has already been done.but time travel into the future is now possible though the idea may seem very very far-fetched.It has been proved through physics that if one were to stand in close proximity to an object of very high mass,to an onlooker (very far away and preferably not close to any high mass object) he would have slowed down in time. For example if I were to stand right next to the great pyramid of Giza and my friend were to stand a long distance away and see me through binoculars there would be a slight time lapse. Now lets think big.....what if instead of the pyramid it was a black hole? The mass of a black hole is huge!Time around...

Time Travel

...Time Travel Proven Today time travel continues to be a science fiction concept used in movies rather than a fact that many accounts and evidence from nature has proved. This article aims to present three main arguments that attempt to prove that time travelling does in fact exist and does not go against, but is possibly aligned with, physics theories and logic. According to author Marcus Chown (2011) in his article about time travel, the concept itself is actually proven by the basic theories of general relativity. The theory is simple; predicting that the closer one is to the ground, the slower time goes by. This is due to a connection between the stronger gravity and slower time progression. So for instance, if you are in a plane, time should move a bit faster than on the ground, etc. How this is linked to time travel is also simple. It becomes easier to understand how a man-made device, connecting two areas with different time progression, can achieve – at least to a certain extent – time travel. As Chown states, “if you could travel instantaneously from Earth to near the black hole, you could travel from Friday back to Wednesday”. However, nothing is more important to the average person than photographic evidence. Despite the wide room left for subjective debates, many photos have been revealed in the past that show strange out of place people in crowds. However, another piece of photographic evidence comes from the 1968 discovery by famous William J. Meister who......

...MICE Industry:Business Travel Business visitors to London in the first three months of 2010 grew by 5% Business trips to the UK capital up despite tough economic climate Wednesday, July 21, 2010 The number of business visitors to London in the first three months of 2010 grew by 5% over the same period last year. This is the first quarterly rise since the second quarter of 2007. Meanwhile, spending by people on business trips leapt by 21%, up to almost £500m. These strong figures, published by the International Passenger Survey, come despite difficult economic conditions. The survey also found that overall visitor numbers to London in the first quarter fell by just 1% from the same period in 2009. This compares with a fall of 5% nationally. This drop in numbers is partly a result of severe weather conditions during the quarter that led to travel problems into and out of the UK. Sally Chatterjee, CEO, Visit London said: “London continues to be a focal point for global business, even in the face of challenging economic conditions. The jump in spending by business visitors is a reflection not just of returning confidence but also of the unrivalled range of restaurants and attractions on offer in the capital.” The US brought in the most business passengers. Numbers were up 10% and expenditure by 30%. Numbers from France were up 33%, Spain 57% and Germany 13%. In terms of holiday visitors, France brought in the most people. German numbers spiked by 16%, while the number of......

...The Cost of Tubular Travel and Our Environment Thomas Lunarde COM/156 Version 7 4/27/14 Mark Hassenstab The Cost of Tubular Travel and Our Environment People work hard throughout the year and ponder their next vacation of where they are going and how they are going to get there. With that in mind, they also worry about the expense. Is the weather going to cooperate? Is their luggage going to arrive? Have you ever been sitting at the bank drive through, watching people submitting their transactions by way of pneumatic tubes? Imagine being inside that pod travelling at 800 miles per hour with no worries of the above-mentioned. Why not alleviate travel concerns and climb aboard the tubular travel system? Even though the initial cost of development, construction, permits and approvals needed will have a hefty price tag for this mass transportation system. In the long run, it will provide the people of the world what better for our environment, faster, safer, and less expensive way to travel is. Marketing Research-Leisure Travel

...Our team was a given a task to research college students on leisure travel focusing on price. Throughout our project we collected data using qualitative, quantitative, and secondary data. For the qualitative research part we conducted a focus group where we witnessed an interaction between five college students on their opinions on cost for leisure travel. Following the focus group we constructed a survey for our quantitative portion of our research. We input our findings from the surveys in a statistical software program to help us interpret the commonalities and differences of the individuals that were surveyed. In conducting the focus group we collected data from five individuals, four being females and one being a male. In the conversation we covered their personal budget, most frequent places, money saving ideas, their spending on leisure travel compared to other students, and outside influences on travel decisions. Many individuals based the way they spent their money depending on where they were traveling. For example we compared a Vegas trip to a Disneyland trip and found out that more money was budgeted when going to a Vegas trip. The reason for this was that individuals budget more for a Vegas trip for the purpose of convenience and the fact that all the attractions are on the strip. In comparison, for a Disneyland trip most of your time is spent away from your hotel, which means that you are able to stay further away for a cheaper price. When discussing money......

The 8503 (or No Further Stay) condition means that the holder of the visa on which the condition has been imposed will not, after entering Australia, be entitled to be granted any other visa, while the holder remains in Australia. The effect of this visa condition is that it will not be possible for you to apply to remain in Australia beyond the authorised period of stay of your visa. ...chance to buy shares in the company at a 20 percent discount under a share save scheme or through a matching option of one free share for every 10 bought under a share incentive plan (Sip). The travel operator has introduced the all-employee schemes in an effort to retain and motivate its existing staff. Anna Sparkes, HR consultant, policy development at Thomas Cook, said: “The main reasons for the launch were to retain staff and give employees a vested interest in the company on an ongoing basis.” Invitations were sent out to employees on 19 May, options were granted on 16 June, and the first employee payroll deductions for the schemes were made in July. Of Thomas Cook’s 19,000 employees, 14,000 were eligible to take part in either the Sip or the share save scheme. To join, they had to be based in the UK and have worked for the company for at least six months. Almost one-fifth (18.5 percent) of those who are eligible joined one of the schemes or both. Under the share save scheme, employees can save between £5 and £250 a month for a period of three years, at which point they can choose to buy shares at 20 percent below the option price. Under the Sip, employees buy shares each month and then, after five years, have the option of selling the shares tax efficiently. The travel firm communicated the schemes by sending out invitations to all eligible employees and putting up posters around the workplace. The company, which was floated on the London Stock Exchange in......
