INTRODUCTORY SUMMARY

In the past two years, our company has consistently missed the release dates for our PBA (printed board assembly) products. These missed releases have resulted in fines to the company, and extreme customer dissatisfaction. We have had to reduce our workforce considerably over the past year, and in the process, we have lost experienced employee talent. Middle management has accepted the challenge to develop a PBA Design to Release Spreadsheet. This spreadsheet process will assist our Research and Development organization in achieving the company’s goal to honor its contractual obligations to customers. Since budget cuts are in place, the spreadsheet will be developed based on existing resources and work force. We must view this as a “process improvement” effort. The current process has groups working serially. This causes bottlenecks. If one group misses their date, it creates a chain reaction of missed dates through the other groups. Currently we are not tracking any of the obstacles that can occur during the design phase. By using the spreadsheet, all participants will have an opportunity to log their input, and flag any concerns. The spreadsheet will contain the following items:
• PBA requirements
• Task Definitions
• Time to complete
• Issues/Comments
• Release Date

CREATE A CORE TEAM

• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Test Engineering
• Physical Design
• PIE Product Introduction Engineering
• Documentation Control

...Skills Corse Code: 9117 Log Journal Assignment: Topic # 1 Submitted to: Sir Yousuf Sharjeel “Change your life today. Do not gamble on the future, act now, without delay.” Life of a human is full of many tasks. He has to achieve all tasks on time. Since childhood, we are said to be on time otherwise teacher punishes us. When we enter in professional life, we are again said to be punctual this time life punishes us. Time schedule basically a plan for performing work or achieving an objective in allotted time. Most of people either professional or student face troubles to accomplish the work or project, If we all plan before start the work it will easier to achieve. Sometime many people, when task is given, think that it will be done, they put off until tomorrow what they can do today. They delay till last day come to the door. Actually and certainly this attitude kills the people. We learn many things if we work honestly without delay. Delay is nothing but the parents of failure. There are many things that make it difficult for people to schedule their time effectively. ...necessary, how the coating operation could be efficiently split into multiple days. If, for example, you are applying six coats of epoxy to a large hull, it is a good idea to apply all six coats to half the hull on one day and six coats to the other half on the next day, rather than applying three coats to the entire hull on each day. Instead of having to wash and sand the entire hull to prepare for the next coat, you need only wash and sand the small overlap area at the edge of the first half. The project could be split into three or four day session depending on the number of helpers available and the conditions you are working in. The type of hardener, film thickness, temperature, humidity all affect epoxy’s cure time and your recoating schedule. Refer to the WEST SYSTEM User Manual & Product Guide for detailed information on handling epoxy. Amine blush Amine blush is a byproduct of the epoxy curing process and can appear as a wax-like film on cured epoxy surfaces. It is more noticeable on thicker films, cured in cool humid conditions. Blush formation is extremely low when using 207 Hardener. The blush is water soluble and can easily be removed, but can clog sandpaper and inhibit subsequent bonding if not removed. To remove the blush, wash the surface with clean water and an abrasive pad, such as 3-M Scotch Brite™ 7447 General Purpose Hand Pads. Dry the surface with plain white paper towels to remove the dissolved blush before it dries on the surface. After washing with......

...means that they put their employees first. They believe that employees will be motivated to provide the best customer service possible and then profitability will follow. FedEx created the hub-and-spoke route system; they supplied logistical services, and the introduction of advanced technology. They also helped companies in the global market and introduced them to end-to-end manufacturing product services. These services were warehousing, inventory accounting, shipping, billing and invoice reporting. FedEx offered the only reliable tracking system, which could track package's very quickly. They supplied logistical services that required the development of information technology.FedEx WeaknessesFedEx was slow to adapt to new business innovations. For example, they did not integrate their ground and overnight services, therefore failing to cut cost for themselves and consumers. They also lacked in technological innovations. FedEx's tracking system had to be used with their software to track packages, whereas UPS created software that was compatible with any software that could be linked and operated by outside websites. They also lacked when it came to competing over the supply of logistical services. For example, the National Semiconductor terminated their contract with FedEx when they did not reduce the company's inventory and transportation costs. This was because they did not use logistical resources to manage a central warehouse and they used the fastest and most......

...is the foundation for economic security, yet many people are denied equal access in this area. An area that contributes to inequality in schools is ability tracking. Ability tracking has been around since the early 1900’s. It is used in most schools across the nation. Tracking allows teachers to work with students within the same academic range. Typically, Students are placed in certain classrooms by using test scores, teacher evaluations and in some incidences, parents are given a choice. Tracking can take on various forms. Some students are tracked for every class where they spend the entire day within the high track or low track group with their same ability classmates. Others are tracked for the core subjects only such as math and English. Regardless of how the school decides to operate within the ability tracking spectrum, it is beneficial for the high tracking students and detrimental for the lower tracked students. The majority of students in the low track are minorities. They suffer greatly from tracking. Being in the low track greatly affects the future lives of students because it gives the perception that the student is limited in every area of learning and also can affect personal and social development throughout their lifetime. On the other end of the spectrum, students in the high tracking groups are exposed to more opportunities for enrichment, better textbooks and technology, more experienced teachers often with a smaller student-teacher......
