“Would you take your eyes away from that Kindle and listen to me for once.” Kim pleaded to me.
“Gimi a second,” I responded.
Half an hour after the door slammed. I lift my head up for a millisecond to realize it was my girlfriend, Kim, who had left.
“Darn it! I have to call her, as soon as I respond to this blog,” I said to myself. The grumbling in my stomach for hours after reminded me that I needed to eat. I really have to shake this addiction. My last three girlfriends left me because my addiction. I hardly communicate with my family because of my addiction but I LOVE this world. I LOVE the adventure, the challenges and the technological devices….it is like heaven to me. I have to own the latest technological device or else I will go crazy but I am already technologically crazy. Keys penetrating the doors brought me back to reality
“Wow yuh eating!” my sister greeted me. “What’s for dinner ipod or laptop salad,” she asked mockingly.
I responded with a daggering stare and turned my back. I booted my laptop and resumed life in my world. I won’t be bothered by my parents. They were gone for the weekend. I will be in my zone and my annoying sister in hers.

I retired to my room soon after. Ignoring my numerous assignment deadlines, I plopped on my bed.
‘It is now 7pm.’ I heard my speaking clock proudly announcing.
I ignored it while sticking my best friend-my earphones in my ears. Ahh my world! I smiled as I ventured into the world of my latest Android Tablet.
I pulled one side of the headset from my ears, I am sure I heard something breaking. I ignored it replacing my earphone. It was the jarring scream that broke my date, I jumped dragging the earphone out of my ear. ‘Shan’ I called, are you ok?” I got no response. I looked at the time, it was 2 am. I had no idea what could be going on. “Darn it!” so many hours had passed.

Crazy Love

...Mary-sunshine Amaechi Professor Wagnon ENG 132.022 February 7, 2013 “Crazy Love” In Steven Pinker short essay “Crazy Love,” he describes the effects love has on us as humans and the way people look for certain spouses. Pinker argues that love has driven people to evoke feelings like happiness, anger, sorrow, violence and obsessiveness for those the love, he also states that “the thought of love can impel us slay dragons and write corny songs.” This essay tends to inform the reader on the effect love have on people, on how romantic infatuation is different from both raw lust and the enduring commitment that keeps lovers together long after their besotedness have faded. Pinker also explains how humans find a mate through shopping for the most desirable person who will accept them for example the 10s marry the 10s, and while the 9s marry the 9s and so on. He also states that people shop for the perfect match as if they were at the marketplace where you want the best price you can get. The author also uses a quote from Kwakiutl Indian in 1896 to emphasize how love has caused people to act out of the ordinary for years. He also explores different way to find a mate “looking for someone who is emotionally committed to you because of who you are,” or “accept a partner who wanted you for a rational reason to begin with.” This essay interest and compel the reader to think about how he or she views love. It relates to our everyday life and how truly important you are to......

The Gods Must Be Crazy

...The Gods Must be Crazy; Overview and Criticize In “The Gods Must be Crazy” they take the perspective of a simple Coke (glass) bottle form a tribe that has never seen such a thing. It shows a coke bottle thrown from a passing plane landing in a tribe. This coke bottle instantly seems to turn into a gift from the gods. Everyone in the tribe starts to fight over it and even use it as a weapon at one point. A tribe member is sent to throw it back to the gods. On his journey back he kills a goat, not knowing the meaning of “property”. He is put in jail where a man that used to be in his tribe saves him. He and his buddy then save Kate (the school teacher) from some guerillas and continue his journey to ”the end of the world”. He later gets to a cliff that may seem to him like the end of the world where he chucks the bottle and returns to his tribe. This movie not only makes the tribal people seem ridiculous unintelligent it makes them seem clueless in a sense. They find a bottle and al of a sudden start to go mad. I did enjoy how dim some scenes are in this but this as about all I enjoyed. The lack of realism that the movie shows is a part that makes it seem as if it could never happen. Overall Jamie Uys (director, producer and writer) do not do a good job making the plot and story realistic enough for any of this to be real....

...52.72 | Inventory Turnover | 3.23 | 4.38 | 5.14 | 5.88 | Shown above are some of the key ratios for Crazy Eddie during the period 1984-1987. Some of the red flags these ratios reveal include the steady decline of inventory turnover rates from 1984-1987 which could indicate lost sales, excess inventory, or ineffective buying. Another red flag is the accounts receivable turnover figures. The drop from 116.78 in 1986 to 32.5 in 1987 is most likely a result of the poor credit policies Crazy Eddie had in place for its customers. 2.) Several audit procedures could have led to the detection of some of the accounting irregularities involved in the financial statements of Crazy Eddie. For (a) the falsification of inventory count sheets, the auditors could have visited more than one site of a Crazy Eddie store and performed full physical counts of inventory that didn’t allow Eddie Antar to stock up one location with inventory which he knew would be audited. Also, the auditors could have checked the inventory that was in place with the amounts on the inventory sheets and obtain proper documentation from vendors and confirming with them the proper inventory that was ordered. With regards to (b) the bogus debit memos for accounts payable, the auditors could have confirmed notes payables with banks and creditors that they have received payment or are expecting payment from Crazy Eddie, and trace those numbers with amounts in the general ledger for accounts payable. For (c) the......

Crazy Old Man

...Crazy Old Man Willa Cather’s book O Pioneers is about a family who works very hard to make a living by farming. This family’s determination pays off in the end with much land, crop, and wealth. Of all the characters, the one most unique is Crazy Ivar. Ivar is a religious old man who is usually called insane by those who do not know him. He lives with the Bergsons in their house and helps them do chores all around the property. But what makes Ivar so unique are his caring, wise, and knowledgeable characteristics. Ivar’s first characteristic is being caring. He shows this quality by being gentle and loving to the animals and other characters. He especially loves the horses, birds, and other animals. He enjoys nature every day, and shows it by walking everywhere he goes without shoes on. This often worries others and tends to make them think that he is crazy and that he should be sent to the insane asylum. Other characters think that he is slowly losing his mind will eventually hurt himself, or someone else living on the farm. But the one who cares and trusts him most is Alexandra. She knows that Ivar would not hurt anyone. An example of this is when Alexandra is nowhere to be found soon after the death of her brother Emil. In the middle of the rain, Alexandra went to Emil’s gravestone to grieve. Ivar finds her there and brings her back to the house comforting her on the way home. Another characteristic that Ivar has is his wisdom. Ivar is wise because he has had much......

The Crazy Bull Running Festival

...The Crazy Bull Running Festival It seems slightly insane to go anywhere near a charging bull, but every year, thousands of brave festival-goers run with the bulls in Lampoon in Spain . all the participants must be at least 18 years old . Everyone dresses up in white pants, a white shirt, a red scarf around their neck, and a red sash around their waist. . The history of the running in front of bulls is not completely clear. It started when bullfighting became a popular pastime, and many bullrings were built. The only way to get the bulls from the corral to the bullring was by running them through the streets to the ring. Eventually, people started running with the bulls. As every year passed, this became more and more popular, and has grown into this extremely important festival . Early in the morning from 6 July to 14 the runners gather in the street and seek out their position to run with the bulls at 8am a rocket goes off to signal that the six bulls and six steers have been let out of their corral, and then a second goes off to signal that all the bulls are loose and running. The bulls charge down the streets towards the bullring along an 825m stretch, and everyone goes wild. A third rocket is set off once all the bulls have entered the bullring and the fourth and final rocket means that the bulls are now in the bullring and the bull run has finished. Every year people get injured, not just because of the bulls, but also through falling and drink-related injuries!...

Crazy Computers

...Crazy Computers Case The question at matter is if CIC reinsures extended warranty contracts with TPI sold by CC, is it appropriate for CC to recognize commission revenue at the time of sale of the extended warranty contracts? I believe you really have to determine who the true obligator is, whether it is still the third party insurer or if it would now be Crazy Computers because of having a wholly owned subsidiary that is reinsuring warranties sold by Crazy Computers. Since customers have the option to buy the warranty from Crazy Computers (CC) and there is an obligation that CIC, the wholly owned subsidiary of CC, could reinsure the extended warranty risk of the third party transaction then I believe that CC is the primary obligor. Now as for how the recognition is handled, ASC 605 talks about accounting for warranties. It states that “sellers of extended warranty or product maintenance contract have an obligation to the buyer to perform services throughout the period of the contract.” Basically this means that revenue should be recognized proportionately over the length of the warranty obligation. In my opinion Crazy Computers is the primary obligor and because of this the recognition of revenue should be deferred and recognized appropriately over the period of obligation. SolvGen Inc. This case discusses the company Direct Drugs Inc. and their plans to acquire SolvGen Inc. SolvGen Inc. has two material agreements with Careway Pharma Inc. One of the case......

A Crazy Emily

... Crazy is defined as mentally unbalanced or insane. Emily is definitely crazy. Necrophilia or not, she is considered crazy either way. Although, the crazy focused here is the one that does not concern necrophilia. This focuses more on how she is trying to grasp some things she cannot have, and also having to kill just to have it. Some may say she is normal, but I say otherwise. The first time I realized she was crazy was at her father’s death. When her father passed away, she did not mourn for his deplorable death. Neither did she want to get rid of him, after the cruelty of depriving her of suitors. She kept clinging to his body, and she kept making herself believe he was alive. Whenever people wanted to give their condolences, her expression was always bland and she claimed that her father was not dead. Psychologically speaking, her reaction was blunt or it lacked in emotional response. Only after three days, when the people were about to resort to law and force, did she admit that he was dead. It was only then that she allowed the authorities to take his body. Another reason why I said she was crazy was because of the time she bought poison. She simply intimidated the druggist into giving her the poison she wanted. She did not say what the use was for, as long as it will “work”. This can actually tell you that she has a plan on killing someone. People with necrophilia do not kill to be with the dead, they just love being with the dead. Crazy people, though, can......

...and are usually sufficiently practiced. Mental telepathy is true telepathy, direct mind to mind communication. Everyone at the civilize stage and above possesses it to a degree but it can only be consciously controlled at the humanistic stage on the throat chakra begins to activate. Mental telepathy can be likened to non-verbal conversation, but without the misconceptions and misunderstandings that often accompany verbal communication. Over the next few hundred years increasing numbers of advanced humans will not truly develop this ability. It is upsetting that people live this day won’t get to witness this evolution (Laile 20). as we have learned, telepathy something that is in all of us. It is something that is natural to mankind. It's crazy how oblivious people are to the idea. The majority of people think of this as something that is fiction, but it is scientifically proven to be real. Telepathy isn’t just all about reading minds, it has to with the emotion too. That is why some people just have the knowing that a person is sad about something or just picks up on the negativity of others. This is also why people just know when someone is lying also. The human mind is extremely powerful. So powerful that the human brain is considered to be the most complex structure in the universe. Meaning there are more to the brain that is beyond our human understanding (Brian 8). A major form of extra sensory perception or ESP is known as clairvoyance. When using clairvoyance,......

Crazy Eddie

...Crazy Eddie The major schemes involved were the overstatement of inventory and the understatement of accounts payable. The overstatement of inventory was accomplished by preparing inventory count sheet for items that did not exist. In order to fix a drop in same-store sales Antar would record transshipping transactions as retail sales of individual sales. This meant that inventory would not be credited for the total number actually sold. It would inflate selected operating units in addition to overstating the entire inventory available. In addition, the company included consigned merchandise and goods being returned to suppliers in its inventory. The understatement of accounts payable was accomplished by preparing faux debit memos from vendors that were entered into the company’s accounting records. The red flags of this fraud included the tight circle of relative that ran the company, the fact that Crazy Eddie’s accountants were former employees of the external auditors, unqualified and inexperienced accounting and finance personal, intolerance to switch to an electronic inventory system, missing documentation and the continuation of impressive figures despite the leveling of the electronic boom. As for inventory the auditors should have been concerned with existence, and rights and obligations. The existence should have been tested by picking a random selection of inventory from a detailed list of the inventory stated in the financial statements. This selection of......

Crazy Computers

...This case is an example of revenue recognition for extended warranty contracts. The parties involved are Crazy Computers (CC), a third-party insurance company (TPI), and a wholly owned captive insurance company (CIC). The problem in this case is whether or not Crazy Computers should recognize commission revenue at the time of sale of the extended warranty contract if CIC reinsures the contracts with TPI. The FASB authoritative standard that applies to this case is ASC 605-45 (Revenue Recognition: Principal Agent Considerations). In this case the question is whether the revenue should be reported as gross or net of the sale. Gross would be the amount the customer paid. Net would be the amount the customer paid less the amount paid to a supplier (TPI). The net amount is considered a commission or fee to the entity acting as an agent (ASC 605-45-45-1). The next thing to look at in this scenario is who is the primary obligor in the agreement. That is, who has the legal obligation to assume risks and rewards from the extended warranty contract. If the entity (CC) is the primary obligor, they assume the obligation of the warranty contract and should record revenue gross of the amount billed to the customer (ASC 605-45-45-4). If the entity’s supplier (TPI) is the primary obligor, they assume the obligation of warranty fulfillment and the entity (CC) should record revenue net of the amount billed to customers less the amount paid to the supplier (TPI) (ASC 605-45-45-16). ...Crazy By, Carly Growing up, me and my sister, Casey, we best friends with the girl who lived across the street from us, Bridgette Samuels. Bridgette spent more time at our house than her own. My mother used to always joke that Bridgette was her third daughter. She very could have been. She would go out to dinner with us every Friday night, join us on our family vacations, was pictured on every Christmas card, and had her own place at our kitchen table. When my mom went grocery shopping, she not only bought Casey’s and my favorite snacks, but Bridgette’s as well. She was like a sister to us. Bridgette was the first of us to take an interest in boys. You might say she was a little crazy when it came to them. Bridgette would chase around the boys in our neighborhood in her miniskirts and platform flip-flops, while Casey and I would stand by, completely disinterested. We still held the mentality that boys were stupid, and we ignored them while boy-crazed Bridgette tried to convince them to kiss her. But by the following summer, the summer between third and fourth grade, things had changed. My mother took up a job at the local hospital, and the three of us were enrolled in day camp. It was there we met our summer heartthrob and the focus of our desire – Danny Barkler. The three of us obsessed over Danny, daring each other to talk to him and drawing his name in hearts with chalk. We pined over ways to get Danny’s attention, despite none of our efforts ever succeeding.......
