THE SUBJECT OF MY SPEECH IS “MY FUTURE”
Hello ladies and gentlemen. My name is Bukky Dada. I am a student of Greenwich School of Management, and I’m studying Business Management. I am honoured to stand here before you to give a short speech about “MY FUTURE”.
I can recollect the day l received my letter of admission to Greenwich School of Management, l was so excited because l was one step closer to my dreams. I had worked with “Compass Group” for 6years as a chef, so l knew a lot about catering. Before coming to this country, back home in Nigeria l used to work in the hotel as an assistant manager. I have come up with three plans for my future, which is to own a big restaurant, give my children better a future, so it will be easier for them to concentrate more in school,( because without education, there is really no future for anyone) and lastly, set up an orphanage to help the poor in my country.
My perfectly laid plan for myself is unavoidably. I had always wanted to be a business woman, own two to three big restaurants with lots of staff working for me, and being my own boss. This is something l had wanted since l was a child. I understand and believe that l have to upgrade myself to achieve some certain goals in life. Some of these goals are personal to me while the others are professional.
Now l have come to a cross road in my life where l can choose what to do with my future and choose what will make me happy. My happiness in what l do is a goal for my life. If l am not happy, l can’t be successful in whatever l am doing. l want to be satisfied with my decisions, and most of all to be able to live up to the expectations l have for myself. Everyone goes through a struggle in life, nothing…...

My Future

...My Future Goals What are my future goals? Well, let me say that I am dreaming big. I do not wish to become the President or even a CEO of a big business. I just want to be able to make a difference in the life of another. I will be attending my college in the fall and studying to become a pharmacist. After three years there, I will transfer to the actual pharmacy school for another two years. There, I will complete my Pharm D degree, also known as a Doctorate of Pharmacy. I would like to start my career in a pharmacy getting to work with and talk to patients one on one. This will help me better understand how some diseases affect people and which diseases are top priorities to eliminate. It would also be very enjoyable to work with the pharmacy technicians as well. Eventually, I want to obtain a PhD in Pharmacy. By receiving my PhD, I am able to participate in lab research. It is a dream of mine to be able to partake in finding cures for diseases like AIDS and even cancers. I would love to travel the world and assist those in need and provide medicines for those whom cannot acquire it on their own. By being a recipient of this scholarship I am able to go to school for the necessary amount of years and achieve my goals in life. Not only would this award benefit my studies, but also those whom I hope to help in the future. Thank you for your time and considering me for this scholarship....

My Past vs My Future

...in los angles, California and with only one older sibling and my mother we had a lot of hardships. We moved a lot, never stayed in one place for more than a few months, my mom and my brother would always get into fights, my dad was on drugs and my mom kept me home-schooled and sheltered, causing me not to have a social life, or have any kind of friends for that matter. I grew up in an environment where my mom did business a lot because she had her own business and even as I child I would have to help with the family business. I learned about business and technology at a young age along with business. I know so much about business now because of my mother. And yeah at the time it was beneficial but then as time went on I became further behind in learning because I was not in school and the tutors I had were not certified in teaching, they would just be people that we knew. So every year it would get harder and harder for us. It even seems like we became homeless more and more each year. I’ve slept so many places and have been evicted out of the nicest house to the most raggedy motels. My brother and I have such a big age difference, so because of that he was mostly never around, he is 11 older than I, but he was always there for me. Eventually, when we realized there was nothing left for us in California my mother and I just got in our car and left California never to return again. So now were on our way to Georgia. My mom promised we were going to go back to California, she......

My Past, Present Future

...My Past, Present, and Future Hard life does not equal reason for failure, but reason for determination. Even though it may seem with so much bad you are bound to fail, with all of my bad I'm bound to succeed. I have been through a lot in life, just as every single mother but I still have what it takes for my future success. Do you have what it takes for a brighter future? The first reason I believe hard times give you determination, is because I had a hard childhood growing up. Beginning with my father abusing my mother and he was never around, a mother who was struggling to figure out who she was and what she wanted in life, and how to take care of a teenager with so many bad experiences. My father was murdered in front of me and passed in my arms when I was seven years old. My only father figures I had left were my brothers who for their own reasons couldn’t be around much. I turned to alcohol at a young age thinking it would make my life better. I felt as if I was alone. I didn’t know I had people that would be there for me. All I knew was my immediate family and my friends, which were not good influences. My mother had turned to alcohol as well and I was always home alone or with my uncle John. I never wanted to go to school; however, my uncle encouraged me to do so. I continued to attend school and did the best I thought I could. I got into skating thanks to my uncle and that is how I got rid of my stress if I had it. Uncle John always took me and my friends to the......

Cause for me, before you reach your dreams you have to work hard to fulfil your dreams, but hopefully I can get my dreams in a fastest way and in good way without stepping someone. After a few years I can see myself in the ship, navigating the ship at the oceans and travel all around the world. I know at this stage of my college life is the one of the hardest thing, because you are far from your family, and you have to work for your own life, I didn’t expect that this moment I can manage myself good, because at my high school life is different at this moment cause in high school you can be free at all times and there is a parent who can guide you and accept you even you gave them many problems. On high school there is parents wash your clothes, preparing your meal and etc. this moment that I am studying here at MPFC, this is my stepping stone to achieve my goal and dreams. After 5 years from now I can see myself at a ship or a luxury ship or a big ship meeting different types of person. I can see myself successful, helping my family and others. I can see myself a great man serving other people, I can see myself enjoying my life, I can see myself a inspiration to others that they can tell he or I a successful man. My Veiled Future

...dreams since they were young. And they are sure that they want those dreams to be their future. However, some people find their dreams after they have grown up. Most of the teenagers are still having numerous dream jobs in their mind. Most of them not sure of what they want to be but they knew where they want to be. They want to live without worries , and live happily in the future. For me, as a 17-years-old student, my only aim for now is to pass my O'level with good grades so that i can get into the course that i want. Even though my mind has been wavering with a lot of thoughts and people's 'suggestion'. It is really hard for me to stick on one dream as i am easily influenced by other people. I wanted to be a business woman when i was young because i saw a movie about a successful business woman and i thought she was cool. After a while, i wanted to be an engineer like my father, a hotel owner after i visited to a grand hotel as i thought it would be awesome and a ballet dancer when i saw a Hong Kong movie about a beautiful ballet dancer. As i grew up i had more and more dreams. I wanted to be spy, detective, singer, and lastly architecture. And now i had realized, no matter how many dreams i had, there are some common factors about the dreams that i want. I wanted those career because i thought it would be cool, famous and mostly money. The fact that i like money does not change. My last dream was to be an architecture because i thought it is a respectable job and......

Therefore, a lot of efforts try to change the world's system and create a better view of life in the minds of all the new yield generations, to replace the ugly picture of the world with a new one that would encourage them to go on. Hope lies in the generations that will grow up someday, when they start to disagree about the way the world is going, they will certainly start to change it.  My greatest hope is that this vision of the world's youths comes true, that everyone will fight against everything wrong, corrupted and illegal in this world. I wish that no one remains silent about something unacceptable and disgracing for our world. This is our role and duty. Secondly, I do hope the world will helps us achieve our dreams. This can really happen if only the world becomes a more homogeneous place to live in. We have become like strangers living in a place that does not accept the fact that we are a part of it; neither do we want to accept this...In other words, only a few people fulfil their responsibilities, which is very sorrowful. Protecting the environment has to be something that we all care about. Concerning our responsibilities towards each others, I hope we stick to love and sacrifice as long as we live and try to make them the main theme of our lives.  Thirdly,...

My Future Career

...school, everyone wants to choose a suitable job for their future. Some people want to have a job which has a high salary while the others want to choose a job which is famous. I myself want to be a teacher because of the following reasons. Firstly, teaching is a stable job. As a teacher, I will get the same salary in every month though it is not very high. Therefore my life will not be affected by the change of economy. Secondly, teaching is the job which can be respected by everybody. No matter how famous a person has become, he will never ignore his teacher. Besides, whenever a teacher makes a decision to do something, he has to think that he is a teacher, so he cannot do the thing that is illegal or immoral. Moreover, I choose teaching because I love children. I want to help them learn what they do not know. I still remember when I was a pupil at elementary school, I tried to be a teacher, I taught the children in my neighborhood to learn and write the first letters. At that time, I thought I were really a teacher. Up to now, I have never thought I will not do anything but a teacher. Finally, I choose teaching because both my father and my mother are teachers. They have devoted all their life to this career. And they want me to follow their job. In conclusion, being a teacher, I shall have a stable life, be respected, fulfill my childhood’s dream and follow my parents’ step. Hope that I will be a good teacher in my future...

Telenursing. Is It in My Future?

...Telenursing: Is It in my Future? Devry University Telenursing: Is it in My Future I remember the first time I heard of telenursing. It was about 4 years ago and I was still new to home health nursing. My director informed the office that we would be having an in-service on a new telehealth monitoring device we would be using for our high risk patients. We were shown how to operate the monitors and was demonstrated all of its capabilities. The telephone based devices had an interactive voice response system that could remotely monitor a patient’s blood pressure, heart rate, O2 saturation, weight and blood sugar via a telephone connection. The devices were recommended for all cardiac and respiratory patients who were at high risk for re-hospitalization since the devices would be able to recognize early symptoms and help the nurses to make quick decisions about the patients’ plan of care. So what is telenursing and telehealth? Hebda & Czar (2013), states that “telenursing is the use of telecommunications and information technology (IT) for the delivery of nursing care”. Telehealth is “the use of telecommunications technologies and electronic information to exchange healthcare information and to provide and support services such as long-distance clinical healthcare to clients”. Although, telenursing is still a fairly new concept to me, there is documentation of telenursing in the 1970’s. The first published telenursing article was written by Mary Quinn, RN in......

My Past, Present, and Future

...My Past, Present, and Future PSY 202 My past was my future, and both were full of doubt and unwillingness to continue my education after I graduated from high school. After high school, three individuals impacted my life and changed my views on family, life, and education. Several years passed with me working a steady job until I found myself almost unemployed and needing the education I had not pursued. This resulted in my decision to join the Army to support my financial needs. I felt satisfied with my employment, until I decided to have a family of my own and with this expansion; I knew I had to further my education to meet the requirements to excel in my career. These life experiences changed my views on family, life, and education. Unfortunately, I was always unbalanced and unable to meet the educational needs that needed to be settled in my life. The three individuals that have influenced my life, and who have helped me become the person that I am today are my father, my uncle, and my wife. Their influence has greatly affected who I am and who I want to be. Urie Bronfenbrenner stated, “Ecological theory proposes that human development is best explained in terms of the interaction between individuals and the environments in which they live or have lived” (Witt & Mossler, 2010, p. 53). My father was a big influence, directing me to conduct myself as a man should. He instilled morals, beliefs, and responsibilities that helped me to look for the good in everyone...

My Past, Present and Future

...My Past, Present, and Future I never thought I would be 42 years old and writing a paper like this one. I had planned to go to college right after high school, but life does not always happen according to plan. In this paper, I will present a brief description of a few of my life experiences that have helped shape the person I am today and analyze some of these experiences using the adult development theories from this class. I will also look ahead to the goals I want to accomplish in the future. I grew up in a military family. Both my dad and my mother had enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after they graduated from high school, and they met when they were stationed at the same air base. As mom tells it, my dad asked her out on a date several times, but she always refused because she thought he was a little wild. However, Mom was an early-morning person, and Dad was a night owl. One evening, my mother was assigned to work the graveyard shift on a security detail, and she had trouble staying awake. Dad did her a favor by working her shift for her, so she thought she at least owed him one date. The rest, as they say, is history. My earliest childhood memories were of growing up on Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, as the oldest of five children. As the family grew, my mother left the Air Force, but my father continued in military service. My siblings and I are all about two years apart in age, and my childhood was fairly ordinary until I was about ten years old,......
