I'm in an ISLAND... it pains me to be quiet when my heart wants to shout!

A sailor was stuck in an island where he was the only survivor. He made a hut for his shelter day and night. He's praying and waiting for someone to rescue him but no one came. He stored food in the hut for his survival. But one day, the hut burned to ashes and nothing was left. He was so angry, he said: "God, why have you done this to me?” The next morning rescuers came. He asked:" How did you know that I am here?” They replied:" we saw a smoke signal."

Trust Him even when bad things happen. His plans are always greater than ours...

This inspires me today. I received this message from a friend on my mobile. Been asking the same to God: "why have you done this to me?", WE might not understand the reasons why things happen, why we meet people, why we’re hurt, why we have to say goodbye, why we have to cry, why we have to go over and over the many hurtful challenges of life... we might not really understand...but we keep on hoping. We just don't realize that everything happened that makes us the weakest- will be the sign of God’s prosperity.

- But amidst the weakest point of our lives, we will come up a stronger person! We just have to keep the faith and pray hard. It will make us the person God would want us to be. Remember that all those challenges and pains will make us the true great person we ought to be as God’s promise of His love to us.…...

Why Amy Owns My Heart

...aka owner of my heart, I find it difficult to come up with the words to describe how much I miss you and how lonely the world has become without you in it. I can’t explain the amount of pain I have been in not having you. I have missed you tremendously, physically and metaphorically and truly can’t imagine feeling like this every day. I want you, I need you. The only thing I haven’t figured out is how to get back to where we were. I have talked with you many times about how much I regret not having kids. I never realized what I was missing until I found out first hand. I feel that they make the total package that is you better not worse. During that conversation we had on your back porch I was truly seeking guidance and insight on how you handled the kids with so much poise. I deeply regret if it appeared otherwise. I have told you many times that between the two of us that you are by far the luckiest for having them in your life. Remember I was as concerned as you were about entering into their lives before I was positive that we had a future. I very much thought that taking the time to make sure we were right first was the absolute correct thing to do. Now I feel 100% that it was the absolutely right thing to do. Your girls are very quickly finding a place in my heart, and from what we discussed last night they feel the same way. I feel that we work so well because we are truly complimentary in our strengths. One of the factors that weighs in on that is my lack of......

Keep Me in Your Heart

...Keep me in your Heart “Call it infatuation. Illusion. Obsession. Call it a nightmare, but call it love” It all started with one hello. The day when I met the most beautiful girl my eyes could ever see. Eya Montenegro, the girl that I adore all my life. Whenever she’s around my heart skips a beat, butterflies flood my tummy and I feel like I’m in heaven. I am Kevin Patrick Padua, the son of the Wilford University’s President. Many thought that I was a playboy, chick magnet perhaps but only one girl entered my heart and never once again left. One day, Eya or Ey walked into the gymnasium where I was playing basketball when suddenly the ball hit her right through the head. “Hey! What’s your problem?” Eya said. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you.” I say. “Yeah you did.” She said and throws the ball right at me intentionally. “That was mean! I said sorry, remember? I will never again treat you right!” As I said this to her, she immediately walked away. On our chemistry class, we were given a project and assigned to a lab partner. Unfortunately, Eya is my lab partner. “You again?” She says. “It’s destiny my love” I say with a wink. “Ha ha, very funny” she says with a snobbish attitude. We hardly got ourselves into a conversation the whole class when suddenly she started talking, “So what’s your plan Mr. Padua?” “Let’s meet at my house and get this project over with” I say. “That’s a good idea, Saturday 2 pm? Is that okay?” she says. “That’s perfect.” I......

When You Love You Should Not Say "God Is in My Heart, " but Rather, "I Am in the Heart of God."

...When you love you should not say, "God is in my heart," but rather, "I am in the heart of God." When you love you should believe that you are in his/her heart. For me these quotations teach us to have trust in our love once just like when giving trust in God. Trust is the very thing that everybody in this world desires, or at least should desire from one another. Who wants to have a friendship or relationship without trust? Nobody does. Without trust, there is no friendship, and without friendship, there is no love. I believe that trust is an even greater compliment than to be loved! I believe George Macdonald said it best when he stated "To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved." When I read this quote for the first time, I thought to myself, "Wow that is so true. How can you be loved if you are not trusted first?" It is a special thing to be trusted by someone. Having trust is very important. It’s a big part in a relationship. Being truthful is the key to establishing trust in any type of relationship. In a romantic type of relationship, jealousy can be a major cause for a lack of trust. Both parties must have trust. In any case of relationship, trust is built, earned, and maintained. For example: If you had an ex who cheated on you, you might start experiencing trust issues in relationships with others especially when you get close to one another. It may be difficult and you may end up not being able to trust the other person. When someone loses your......

When I'M Brave Enough own up to them right off the bat. I find it awkward and sometimes too far off, raising a problem when ignoring it was all you probably needed. The thing is I still think about it. You’re not a idiot; it’s pretty obvious. I think you’re amazing and that won’t change no matter what this manages to morph itself into. And in my opinion, it doesn’t need to. But I think about the song, I think about the poems, I think about the unfinished story rotting because I’ve lost what motivated me to complete it. A story is a what-could-have-been right? When we daydream about our futures, daydream about bravery and acceptance and victory, it’s just a fantasy story of our lives. Sometimes I just have to write it down to make sure I don’t lose it. Don’t forget it. Understand that once upon a time, I was such and such. People say in the future, they’ll look back and laugh. I won’t laugh; I’ll understand. Perhaps not why, why you, why this time, why so silent and why so demanding but I’ll understand the circumstances. I’ll understand what drove me and what tore it apart. My entire life’s story out there for everyone to see. Sometimes I feel so exposed. It’s weaving together assumptions that are sometimes so out there, right in the open. But that’s okay, because even things I write a month ago, I no longer understand. I don’t know whom I was so pissed off at and what made me write a passage on loneliness. I don’t need to. It’s all in the moment. & It’s not......

Don't Tell Me I'M Not

...don’t tell me i’m not By Kiara S. Randolph Seems like all I’ve ever heard is what I couldn’t and wouldn’t be... Just because I’m 5’5 and would rather stay in and read; then play outside don’t tell me I would never make the team. Just because I’m slow to speak and in crowds I tend to blend; rather than be the life of the party don’t tell me that I don’t deserve to be heard. My mother a janitor and my father a mechanic; hardworking but doesn’t come from money don’t tell me I can’t be a doctor. The youngest of three; my sister a model, my brother a star of tomorrow don’t tell me my future is anything less. I struggle with my weight; my mom trades my burgers for grapes. I walk down the hall, they point fingers, laugh at my temporary state, just because I’m 15 and overweight don’t tell me I could never be Miss USA. When I speak I stutter, one word becomes an echo of many. People poke fun call me retarded, but feelings I’ve got plenty. Just because I have a tough time being heard don’t tell me I can’t be a public speaker. The alarm rings, my face hits the floor before my feet. Soccer? More like the ball kicks me. Make the table for dinner? Forget it! Goofy names I answer to, but makes me feel less than, just because I lose everything I seem to grab don’t tell me that I’ll never have. Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt, Jackie Robinson; is that all you see my future to be? Yes I might be tall in length, dunk, sprint and hit home runs but don’t tell me an......

Quiet: Power of Introverts

... MORE ADVANCE NOISE FOR QUIET “An intriguing and potentially lifealtering examination of the human psyche that is sure to benefit both introverts and extroverts alike.” —Kirkus Reviews (starred review) “Gentle is powerful … Solitude is socially productive … These important counterintuitive ideas are among the many reasons to take Quiet to a quiet corner and absorb its brilliant, thought-provoking message.” —ROSABETH MOSS KANTER, professor at Harvard Business School, author of Confidence and SuperCorp “An informative, well-researched book on the power of quietness and the 3/929 virtues of having a rich inner life. It dispels the myth that you have to be extroverted to be happy and successful.” —JUDITH ORLOFF, M.D., author of Emotional Freedom “In this engaging and beautifully written book, Susan Cain makes a powerful case for the wisdom of introspection. She also warns us ably about the downside to our culture’s noisiness, including all that it risks drowning out. Above the din, Susan’s own voice remains a compelling presence—thoughtful, generous, calm, and eloquent. Quiet deserves a very large readership.” —CHRISTOPHER LANE, author of Shyness: How Normal Behavior Became a Sickness 4/929 “Susan Cain’s quest to understand introversion, a beautifully wrought journey from the lab bench to the motivational speaker’s hall, offers convincing evidence for valuing substance over style, steak over sizzle, and qualities that are, in America, often derided. I'M Me

...electoral year, despite the official recent statements on the contrary. The likely scenario for macroeconomic policy in 2014 is a combination of today’s fiscal and parafiscal expansionary policies with moderate interest rate hikes and foreign exchange rate interventions, as already announced by the BCB. This mistaken combination of macroeconomic policies would lead economic agents to further doubt that the BCB’s foreign exchange interventions are only aiming at providing liquidity and mitigating excess volatility and overshooting. This is especially true if the intervention program for 2014 keeps the “daily rations” swaps sales by the BCB. After all, if the goal is to provide liquidity, it makes little sense to intervene every single day, even when there is no liquidity shortage. -...

My Grandfather was a police officer for fifty-two years. And he always told me to strive for my dreams, and never let anyone or anything stop me or hold me back. Before he passed away, he told me that he knew I was sad and I didn’t want to lose him. So he Proceeded to tell me how strong, smart, and determined I was. Then asked me what I truly wanted to do with my life and my future. So I told him that I wanted to follow in his footsteps. He smiled at me and said “I love you Ang, and if that is what you truly want to do, I will be with you, and guide you through your endeavors.” After he passed away, I slipped into a depressed state, and I missed a lot of school. Then one day, I woke up and it felt like a burst of confidence swept over me. I knew at that moment, it was my Grandfather telling me not to worry about him anymore, that he was in a better place where he didn’t suffer or hurt anymore.
