Do People Have Demons

...Do People Have Demons? Afif Awad English 110-15 Professor Candace Ramirez 14 December 2012 Do People Have Demons? Gene Wilder once said “I never thought of it as God. I didn't know what to call it. I don't believe in devils, but demons I do because everyone at one time or another has some kind of a demon, even if you call it by another name, which drives them.” Demons are living with us day in and day out. Most people do not see them or even realize demons are with them. No one though has the same demon. Some people have smaller demons and others have bigger demons that can a lot of problems in a person’s life. Demons are spirits that are to be messed around with. Demons are evil spirits that want to hurt, torture, and control you as much as they can until there is nothing anyone can do. Good thing for believers in Christ as long as we got Him on are side anything is possible no matter what. It is funny how the one thing we are scared of (demons) is scared of the God Christians worship (Jesus Christ). Even with numerous accounts of demon possession in the world and movie producers constantly making movies about demonic possession many people still do not believe demons exist. In today’s society demonic possession is looked at in two ways. In the religious side they look for demonic possession and usually treat it with an exorcism using a variety of tools, but the scientific side looks at demons as non-existent and tell the patient the certain disease they are......

...“DO NOT GLORY YET !!!” “Brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure.” (1 pt. 1:10) “TEKEL: Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.” (Dan. 5:27) A translated revelation of the death experience of Pst. Abraham Yakubu FREE: NOT TO BE SOLD A free gift from GENNESSARATE VICTORIOUS MINISTRIES WORLD OUTREACH INT. 08065649039, 07026094045 PREFACE CONTENTS CHAPTER 1: INTROUCTION I was born into a moslem family in Iheima, Kogi State, Nigeria. My name is Yakubu. My brothers are Karim and Lamidi. I know that many of you have been in the work of the Lord before I was born. Even when we talk about being an Evangelist or Pastor, many of you have been Evangelist or Pastors long before my mother gave birth to me. This morning, God Himself address me and explicitly said, “Abraham, don’t celebrate yet.” The message I heard from God deeply touched my heart. It is on this very message from God we shall talk about this morning as I address you, a minister of God who has been serving God for a long time: you, who have just started in the ministry with God: and you may even be born-again and so carelessly living your own life without God. The Lord is saying that we should not glory yet. That in this ministry, we should not say yet, “I am competent”, “I am somebody”, or “I have arrived”; except we see the end of the work. It is not just to finish the work, but to finish well that matters. That is, when the owner of the work takes us to......

...be working different muscle groups for each activity and that they are all big muscle groups of the body. Instead of looking at the big picture I would have them break it down and focus on small goals. Some smaller goals to start with would be start running two-three days a week for about 1-2 miles. Once comfortable with that register for a 5K run. After that set a goal for a 10K run. While including the runs I would also incorporate strength training and maybe suggest they meet with a trainer once or twice a week for 30 minutes to work on strength making sure the trainer knows what they are training for so they can work the proper muscle groups. I would also suggest maybe a cycling class as biking can be somewhat lonely. Again, I would start small and celebrate the small accomplishments, then move on to the next goal. I would have them write it all down on separate pieces of paper so that they are only concentrating on one goal at a time. For example, the first piece could be: run 2-3 miles 2 days/week, strength train once a day and cycle once a week for the first week increasing intensity as needed. Next I would suggest that they maybe try and do this with a friend or family member. That way they have a support group not only behind them but with them. Also, if they do sign with a personal trainer they will have additional support and someone holding them accountable for their workouts!...

...experiences could include things like looking at the world from a religious perspective. Vision experiences A vision experience is one in which God or the divine is ‘seen’ or ‘observed’. In the vision information may be revealed, so dreams are described by theologians as noetic and revelatory. Voices In Christian tradition, religious experiences of God can often be associated with the idea of hearing. Hearing in this case means more than an audible voice, but also the communication of knowledge. The voice is usually linked to God. Often the voice of God is one aspect or a religious experience which could, for example, be a mystical experience. William James William James in his book ‘The Varieties of Religious Experience: A Study in Human Nature’, investigated a large number of accounts of religious experiences. He was interested in exploring the nature of the wide variety of religious experiences that people have. This interested James because he assumed that religious experience was the source of religious institutions such as churches. Churches, for James, were secondary to each individual person’s religious experiences. James suggested that religious experiences were events which were ‘solidarity’ and in which individuals experienced the divine or God – the religious tradition to which the person belongs is relatively unimportant. One of James’ achievements was to identify some of the characteristics of religious experiences as wide-ranging as visions to......

...new and exciting technology. Building on their cult following, Apple began to promote their new iPhone, giving little details on how to buy one and what services would be allowed. For other companies, not providing enough information for new products might be a death wish, however, Apple understood that their following was so great, that limited teasers of their new iPhone would only generate more buzz and eventually more sales. This strategy paid off for Apple. David Yoffie, professor at Harvard Business School, said that Apple generated the equivalent of four hundred million dollars in free publicity. It isn¡¦t that Apple was the first to integrate a MP3 player into a cell phone; rather they were able to build on their reputation of outstanding, quality electronics, coupled with better technology, to create a product that was sure to please. Cell phone manufacturers had already been innovating, combining some of the technologies that we find useful such as cameras and music players into cell phones. These phones, however, were limited by very small internal memory, with memory cards available Depending on who you ask, the iPhone is either the greatest electronic device to grace the planet or an overpriced, over hyped status gadget sold to rubes with more credit than sense, says Arik Hesseldahl of Business Week Online. Free Will; Do We Have It or Not

...Free Will; Do We Have it or Not The question of free will is one which has been hotly debated for millennia. Some people believe that humans have the capacity for free will - the ability to choose their actions without being forced to follow a certain course by either by the influence of others or by natural laws. For many theists, free will is regarded as a special gift from God. The notion of human free will is also an important premise for a lot of what happens in human society - in particular, when it comes to our legal system. Free will is necessary for the notion of personal responsibility. If people do not have free will, then it is difficult to argue that they are personally and morally responsible for their actions - and if that is the case, how can they be punished for their misdeeds? In fact, how can they be praised for the good things they do, if those actions were not also freely chosen? George Orwell did not have free will when it came to shooting the elephant. Orwell expresses his conflicting views regarding imperialism through three examples of oppression by his country, by the Burmese, and by himself on the Burmese. Thus he was not morally responsible. This made Orwell realize his role in society and has made him a stronger man. But first let’s see what led to his feeling toward the Burmese people. The building up of the feeling of pressure starts with Orwell feeling humiliated and disrespected from the Burmese and shifts to a feeling of......

...The painting “At the Moulin Rouge” in my eyes is a really interesting work of art. The way Henri-de-Toulouse-Lautrec painted the women’s faces is extremely unique to me. He makes the men’s faces normal (normal skin tones and features) the women’s faces are slightly different from the norm. One women has a green face and slightly different features, the other women’s face is yellow and has longer eyes. Henri-de-Toulouse-Lautrec started painting “At the Moulin Rouge” in 1892 and finished in 1895. The painting portrays a group of three men and two women sitting around an old wooden table. The people in the paintings are Edouard Dujardin, La Macarona, Paul Secau, Maurice Guilbert and May Milton. There are many more famous faces in the painting as well. The painting “At the Moulin Rouge” is oil on canvas. Its dimensions are 123cm x 140 cm. The painting is stored at the Art Institute of Chicago. Henri-de-Toulouse-Lautrec was born on the 24th of November in 1864. He was born in a city called Albi in France. He was a member of an aristocratic family. He had a younger brother that died at a year old. Not being able to deal with the mourning of their late son, his parents soon separated after. When Henri turned eight he went to live with his mother in Paris. His family quickly started noticing his artistic talents when he started drawing sketches in his notebooks. In 1875 Henri-de-Toulouse-Lautrec returned to Albi, France because he started having health problems. Henri’s parents......

Do You Have Jelly?

...TYPE/TOPIC OF JOURNAL: Do you have Jelly? JOURNAL CONTENT: Section 1 – Critical Incident The nurse that I was observing had taken her lunch and I decided to take this time to go ahead and log in to the computer and look into some of the records of the patients. I hear someone saying help, help. I look around and see no one except TCU students that are sitting at computers picking out their patients for the next day. So I quickly get up and head in to the room. This is not one of my patients, but it is a patient that I had helped with earlier. I head in and introduce myself again while asking the women what I can do to help her. She appears to be about 70 years of age and she is crying. I don’t see anything that appears to be physically hurting her so I ask her what is wrong and she says she is in pain, saying the worst pain she has ever been in. She says it’s as much pain as she was in when she came in. She says her catheter hurts. I know she doesn’t have one I helped take it out earlier. I tell her that she doesn’t have a catheter in anymore and that I am going to go get her nurse for her. She says okay thank you. I go to get the nurse and he is now sitting at a computer and I tell him the situation. He says, “Yeah I just gave her some pain meds and anxiety meds it should work in like 15 min or so.” He was not acting as if he was going to go in there. I say okay I will go let her know. I head back in the room and her hands are in the air and she is crying and......

...and most common data structures. The principal benefit of a linked list over a conventional array is that the list elements can easily be inserted or removed without reallocation or reorganization of the entire structure because the data items need not be stored contiguously in memory or on disk, while an array has to be declared in the source code, before compiling and running the program. Linked lists allow insertion and removal of nodes at any point in the list, and can do so with a constant number of operations if the link previous to the link being added or removed is maintained during list traversal. Singly Linked List: Singly linked lists contain nodes which have a data field as well as a next field, which points to the next node in line of nodes. Operations that can be performed on singly linked lists include insertion, deletion and traversal. Finding and Deleting Specified Link: Finding algorithm Beginning from the head, 1. Check, if the end of a list hasn't been reached yet; 2. Do some actions with the current node, which is specific for particular algorithm; 3. Current node becomes previous and next node becomes current. Deleting 4. Save reference to link 5. Delete it, save first to old next 6. Return deleted link Operation on Singly Link List: * Search * Insert * Delete Doubly Linked List Different from a singly linked list, a doubly linked list allows us to go in both directions -- forward and reverse. Do You Have a Strategy

...Do you have a strategy? 100 Technology Executives were polled from the Fortune 500 by the SBS team at Long View and asked one question. “Do you have a strategy?” That question though requires a definition. What is strategy? Michael E. Porter published a paper in conjunction with Harvard Business School stating clearly what it is not. Strategy is not operational effectiveness. While operations are necessary they conclude, they are not sufficient nor a strategy. We agree. For over twenty years technology has been a vehicle to drive operational efficiency of business processes. As an industry we have become masters of taking both complex and simple tasks and providing both scale and cost savings through said IT operations. This worked and worked extremely well for most IT executives as we could execute with multi-discipline partnerships, segment technology stacks and general provide core applications to our business partners. However we would suggest we are on the midst of our Apollo moment in technology. 1969 saw one of man’s greatest accomplishments achieved. Neil Armstrong walked on the moon a mere ten years after Kennedy’s bold challenge. A relatively insurmountable task when you consider we hadn’t even sent a man to space 9yrs earlier, and yet now we were walking on the moon broadcasting for the world to see. Yet the 1970’s were not as kind to our bold space explorer’s, the public interest was low and life in space appeared to be relatively routine. ......

...operations strategy, particularly as it relates to processes, human resources, and supply chain relationships. Companies are increasingly restructuring their processes, human resources, and supply chain practices to be consistent with evolving long-term company objectives. Operations practices alone are insufficient to sustain a firm’s competitive edge. Similarly, competitive strategy does not equate to competitiveness absent matching processes, human resource practices, and effective relationships with supply chain members. Linkages between competitive strategy and operations strategy have been studied widely (e.g., Ward and Duray 2000, Fynes et al. 2005, Brown et al. 2007). However, the effect of the alignment between competitive strategy and operations strategy, and in particular how operations strategy is deployed via specific practices, on firm performance has received relatively less attention. One dimension of competitive strategy is the choice of markets to serve, commonly referred to as market focus. We explore the relationship between a firm’s market focus as it relates to the breadth of markets and customers it serves, operations practices, and operational performance. Two market foci are examined; a niche market focus characterised by targeting specific customer or market groups, and a broad market focus characterised by serving a broad range of customers and market segments (Liao and Cheung 2002). Three sets of operations practices consistent with the philosophy......
