After being governor of Arkansas for the past ten years of his life, Bill Clinton began to become impatient. Clinton had bigger things on his agenda, and he was eager to get started. Clinton was ready to make his high school dream a reality. Clinton announced his intention to seek the 1992 Democratic presidential nomination. In his campaigns outline, a booklet titled A plan for Americas Future, Clinton boldly declared that the future of the nation is in serious jeopardy and that he has suggestions, answers, and solutions to the problems which we face. Clinton had a plan to jump-start our economy in the short-term and a new long-term strategy to turn our countries economy around and restore the “American Dream” for all.
While Clinton was governor, he was constantly coming up with new ideas, goals, and campaign tactics, just waiting for this moment to put them to use. Clinton did not waste a minute to start gaining popularity. Clinton possessed excellent campaigning skills. He had the ability to sharply identify issues in his favor. As most everyone does, Clinton had the tendency to give in to public opinion instead of trying to shape it.
Shortly there after, Clinton was inaugurated as President of the United States in January 1993, after defeating George Bush senior. At 46, he was the youngest U.S. president since John F Kennedy was elected. He won the presidency with 43% of the popular vote and an Electoral College landslide. It goes to show that all of Clinton’s hard work and dedication paid off.
One of the first things that Clinton was faced with was dealing with the economic state of the country. Clinton inherited the largest federal budget deficit in then history of the nation. He submitted a budget that would cut the deficit by $500 billion over a five year time span. He took that debt and Clinton was able to gain back $230 billion. One of Clinton’s biggest…...

Bill Clinton

...After serving ten years as the Governor of Arkansas, Bill Clinton became eager to pursue his high school dream of becoming President of the United States. During his governing years, Clinton came up new strategies, ideas, and campaign methods to be used for a much larger opportunity. In 1991, he announced he would be running for the 1992 Democratic presidential nomination. Clinton believed that America’s future was in jeopardy and he had the solutions and answers to get it back on track. He began gaining popularity early from his views on the national health care system, a tax cut for the middle class, a reduction of the deficit, and a new welfare system. Clinton’s popularity is still evident today after delivering what many considered to be the best speech of the 2012 Democratic convention. Surely, Mr. Clinton must have done something right during his presidency to have the privilege of endorsing President Barack Obama at the biggest convention of the year. Bill Clinton’s presidency all started in 1992, when a large margin separated him from his rivals as the Democratic presidential nominee. He ran against George H.W. Bush who was an easy target after Bush raised taxes and led the economy near a recession. Clinton used that to his advantage and focused majority of his campaign on strengthening and rebuilding the American economy. On November 3, 1992, his campaign efforts paid off and Bill Clinton was elected the 42nd president of the United States. Clinton’s first years......

The Success of Bill T. Jones’ Film Still/Here

...The film, Still/Here choreographed by Bill T. Jones in 1994 is a remarkable film that Jones first gathered the ideas of when his late partner, Arnie Zane, died from AIDS at the age of 39. Jones then wanted to incorporate the thoughts and emotions that are brought up in the uneventful situations of surviving life threatening illnesses into dance. Still/Here consists of nothing but human feelings that are expressed through rhythmic togetherness on stage to create an amazing array of dance that visually grasps the audience to interpret the stories that lie underneath. This film could not have been as successful as it was without Jones’ willingness to help others through the workshops, using real peoples emotions and stories to create the dance, and incorporating the audio- and video-tapes throughout the dance performance. These three things are key to the success of his film. In order to explain why Still/Here was so successful I feel it is very important to understand why Bill T. Jones has created a dance such as this one. As we know, Bill T. Jones is an African American, homosexual, HIV positive man whose life partner died from AIDS. This is important because it helps us to understand the meaning behind the structure and choreography he has chosen. During Jones’ interview he explains that after Arnie’s death he was full of confusion and other emotions which lead him to the idea of Still/Here.Dance was a big part of both of their lives, Jones found a way to express real......

Bill Clinton Critique Paper

...Critique Paper on President Bill Clinton William Jefferson Clinton was born on August 19, 1946 in the small city of Hope, Arkansas. Bill Clinton was the 42nd President of the United States of America, serving his time in the White House from 1993 – 2001. He was the third youngest president to have taken office, with only Theodore Roosevelt and John Kennedy being younger than him. During the time in office of President Clinton, the U.S experienced a lot of benefits. Clinton also successfully managed to do what no other democrat since Theodore Roosevelt had done either – he was reelected for a second term. In this paper, I will outline what President Clinton achieved successfully during his time in office, and also my opinion on the former president of the United States. Whilst perhaps the most famous thing Bill Clinton is known for is the number of scandals he was involved in, most notably being sued by Paula Jones for sexual harassment, President Clinton was a religious man and had an excellent character. He attended Church from a young age, and stated ‘Religious faith has permitted me to believe in the possibility of becoming a better person every day’. During Clinton’s presidency, the crime rate continued to drop each year he was in office, and at the end of his second term, the crime rate was at a 26 year all-time low. Clinton was granted funding for 100,000 new police officers nationwide, and also famously introduced a ban on assault rifles, and in 2001......

Bill Clinton Speech

...Criticizing Bill Clinton Speech Essay “If a President of the United States ever lied to the American people he should resign” William J. Clinton,1974 Introduction: Critics should pay a very special attention to the Bill Clinton apology speech. The speech of the ex-president Bill Clinton was a bright example of how perfect rhetoric techniques might fail to deliver the message of a president to a mass audience if it goes about his morality. In his speech, Clinton, actually confesses he had a private relationship with Monica Lewinsky. It is a rule that such a confession and especially from a person of the highest position in the society means the end of the career. It took William Jefferson Clinton seven month to realize that people need apologies not for the deed, but for the lies. A close look at the speech opens a wide range of elements did not manage to make it truly appealing for the citizens of the United States of America. In his speech, Mr. Clinton admitted he did a wrong thing and at the same time he did not truly show how much he regretted that his “misbehavior” lead to irreversible consequences in his private and political life. The key failure of the speech is that Mr. Clinton moved the accent away from the affair he had to the necessity to concentrate on more important things. In other words he told the society that they are stuck on unserious matters, while important political events are taking place. Bill Clinton’s goal was to make people get over the......

Bill Clinton About Presidency

...Bill Clinton - Redefines Democratic-Republican In the early 1800's, the United States was but a promising seedling in search of viable political direction. The initial parties were known as the federalists and the Democratic-Republicans, the first of which soon diminished and the later eventually bisected. The result is the two party Democrat and GOP system which the majority of politicians of current day subscribe. However, many political and economic analysts find themselves perplexed by an incredible new phenomenon radiating from the white house - the economic policies of President Bill Clinton. This dilemma has left many wondering, did we elect a democrat or a republican? Has Clinton unintentionally begun a campaign to reunite the two rivals? The telltale signs of Clinton's political ambiguity include reminiscently republican techniques of reducing the budget, creating jobs, lowered productivity, and shaping the tax code. During Clinton's 1992 campaign, balancing the budget was not among the countries main economic objectives (Miller 4). However, after close scrutiny, the economic woes of the approaching millennium were projected as "higher then we thought it would be" (Miller 4). In fact, "in the twelve years before Clinton took office, the deficit quadrupled in size" (deficit 1). As a result, Clinton must engage in creative cost cutting techniques to keep the budget under control. Money afforded to state and local governments for development......

Indispensable to homosapians today, it is yet to receive proper recognition for laying the foundations of democracy. It is an unfortunate consequence of our civilizations history that Bill CLinton is rarely given rational consideration by those most reliant on technology, who form the last great hope for our civilzation. In the light of this I will break down the issues in order to give each of them the thought that they fully deserve Social Factors While some scholars have claimed that there is no such thing as society, this is rubbish. Both tyranny and democracy are tried and questioned. Yet Bill CLinton raises the question 'why?' Nothing represents every day life better than Bill CLinton, and I mean nothing. If society has a favourite child, it is Bill CLinton. Economic Factors Derived from 'oikonomikos,' which means skilled in household management, the word economics is synonymous with Bill CLinton. We will study the Greek-Roman model. For those of you unfamiliar with this model it is derived from the Three-Amigos model but with greater emphasis on the outlying gross national......
