The information contained in these resources aim to help others realize the fundamental differences between adult sex offenders and juvenile sex offenders, which include positive responses of juveniles to treatment, low recidivism rates of juveniles and negative impact of registries on youth development. It is our hope that this information will be used to improve legal outcomes for juvenile sex offenders, and uphold the purpose of the juvenile justice system as a rehabilitative, not punitive, system. ...Annotated Bibliography Annotated Bibliography Jones-White, D., Radcliffe, P., Huesman, R., & Kellogg, J. (2010). Redefining Student Success: Applying Different Multinomial Regression Techniques for the Study of Student Graduation Across Institutions of Higher Education. Research in Higher Education 51(2),154-174. doi: 10.1007/s11162-009-9149-4. Associates with Research in Higher Education conducted a study in collaboration with the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to test a hypothesis that higher education degree attainment was based on many factors beyond the institution where the program originated, the primary category assessed by the Student Right to Know Act (SRK). Conducting their study over a six-year period, with the help of the NSC database and its 93 million student records, the researchers found that demographics, pervious academic ability, social integration, financial contribution, and gender all strongly affected student persistence. The singular focus of assessing degree attainment based solely on the originating institution was thusly challenged. The data supported a similar finding by the Higher Education Research Institute whose 2005 study indicated race, gender and type of learning institution were all contributing factors for degree attainment (Astin & Oseguera, 2005). Evaluating collective data, it appears multiple factors must be assessed to determine graduation attainment for students in higher learning institutes.......

Journal of Economic Development, Management, IT, Finance and Marketing, 5(2), 75-99. Retrieved from Walden Library website, Business Source Complete database. http://library.waldenu.edu/689/htm This article addresses one of the ever pressing questions that lie reticently dormant within most seasoned educators – “is there anything else that can be done to address shrinking enrollments and budgets while expenses upwardly creep?” The premise of the article lies in the fact the since various officials in the higher education industry (HEI) are in effect stakeholders, there is a vested interest in seeking various avenues of improving the systems as a whole so as to facilitate a more relevant learning experience for its clients – the students and faculty. Hence, the consideration of the possibility of establishing a project management office (PMO) as promulgated by the Project Management Institute (PMI) was being considered. This being further warranted by the success of PMO’s in the construction and healthcare industries. Though the authors are not PMI professionals themselves, the article could only relegate itself to the results generated from a series of interviews of highly appointed officials at Drexel University – these also not being PMI officials but being in the same category as the authors, they too, were astute educators. Hence,......

The authors gained primary data by conducting surveys which 303 players participated in, with the questions consisting of performance enhancing attitudes, perfectionism and motivation among other factors. Their research focuses on reviewing the player’s answers to their surveys and their opinions on the different factors which could lead to drug abuse. This article is helpful to me as it indulges into the players own personal opinions on what factors lead to drug abuse in sports and there are multiple surveys in which these opinions are portrayed. The main limitation of the article is that the 303 participants were all in the age group of 18 to 35 which limits the opinions to older/former players or athletes. The authors of this article mention how much of this research is restricted to an individual’s perception rather than a whole team’s perception and that more in depth research needs to be conducted in order for this entire subject to be concluded. (Nadra E. Lisha, 2010) In this article the authors review data of 34 peer-reviewed......

Business Ethics Quarterly, 23(2), 171-205. doi:10.5840/beq201323214 The history of the field of business ethics in the U.S. remains understudied and misunderstood. In this article I begin to remedy this oversight about the past, and I suggest how it can be beneficial in the present. Using both published and unpublished primary sources, I argue that the business ethics field emerged in the early twentieth century, against the backdrop of the establishment of business schools in major universities. I bring to light four important developments: business ethics lectures at the University of California and Yale University, Leon Marshall's curriculum at the College of Commerce of the University of Chicago, and the William A. Vawter Foundation on Business Ethics at Northwestern University. Conflict resolution [electronic resource] Team Publications. (n.d). Amherst, Mass. HRD Press c2002. It details conflict resolution tactics while defining conflict resolution in a modern world. Bibliography Annotated BADEN, D. (2014).
